Weston Park (Sheffield, United Kingdom)

Weston Park was Sheffield’s first public park and it is also the closest to the city centre. It was designed by Robert Warnock in 1873, who had designed a large part of London’s Regent Park and several other well known parks and gardens. Weston Park was created out of the grounds of the former Weston Hall. The park houses Weston Park Museum, a Grade 2 listed building and, in addition to this, the park also contains a further seven Grade 2 listed buildings and structures. These include the main entrance gates into the park, a statue of Ebenezer Elliot, a statue of Godfrey Sykes, and an example of a rare Victorian bandstand. The park is free to enter and open at all times.
