Wortley Hall

Wortley Hall is a 500 year old country house that is now a 3 star hotel. It stands within 26 acres of landscaped gardens approximately 14 kilometres north of Sheffield and 14 kilometres west of Barnsley in South Yorkshire. The idyllic setting of Wortley Hall surrounded by woodland and a large lake makes it a popular venue for weddings and it holds a civil wedding license. There are also 7 conference rooms, all of which are equipped with the latest visual and audio technology, making it a popular choice also for short business breaks and training seminars. There are 49 en suite rooms, each of which have satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone and a trouser press. Many of the rooms have period furniture, four poster beds and open fireplaces, as well as views across the gardens. The Courtyard restaurant is open to both guests of the hotel and the general public but other on site dining facilities like the Lounge and Library are only available for private hire.
