Salts Mill contains an art gallery, a restaurant and a shopping complex. It is housed within a former textile mill dating from 1853, which was once the largest industrial building in the world in terms of floor area. The gallery contains paintings by the local artist David Hockney. The mill closed in 1986 and now has grade 2 listed status. It is open seven days a week and admission is free.
