About White Horse & Griffin

The White Horse and Griffen is a three-star hotel located just off the river in Whitby, North Yorkshire. Built in 1691, it boasts many famous past guests. The boutique hotel has just ten rooms, all furnished in a simple but traditional style. All rooms have en-suites which come with towels and toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. The small hotel has a porter to assist with getting to and from rooms, and can assist with local tour and ticket purchasing. It is a non-smoking hotel. The hotel is available to rent for various functions with private dining seating up to 40 guests to include a range of menus. Alternatively, the hotel can also cater for guests offsite. Breakfast is included in the room price. The hotel serves a variety of grilled fish and seafood as well as other traditional British cuisine with various menus. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the Captain Cook memorial Museum and Whitby Alley. Whitby Harbour is also within 10 minutes.
