Positive Reviews
positive:
Don't pass up the restaurant.
Previous guests had wonderful things to say about dining in the hotel's restaurant. They loved that small snacks were provided in the lounge while they waited for their table. The service is professional and attentive. The food is elegantly prepared, and, unlike many fancy restaurants, does not skimp on the portions. Even the view is nice, with most of the tables overlooking the hotel's grounds.
positive:
The staff are lovely.
Nearly everyone who stayed at Huntingtower was pleased with the service they received from the employees there. They described them as being highly competent and professional. Guests who held events at the hotel, such as weddings, were particularly happy that the skilled staff ensured their event went down without a hitch.
positive:
The building and grounds are beautiful.
It is clear to guests why this hotel is such a popular spot for weddings. The old building added charm to their experience. The gardens are beautifully landscaped, and home to plenty of wildlife. Guests enjoyed watching ducklings swim in the pond out their window.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Beware of late night partiers.
Though negative reviews were relatively rare, almost every one of them had the same complaint. Guests whose stay corresponded with a wedding being held did not appreciate the noise and chaos associated with said wedding. They complained of DJs playing late into the night and inebriated people wandering the hallways.
negative:
Some of the rooms are rather small.
It would seem that some of the rooms are quite a bit smaller than others. Many guests remarked upon or complained that their room was tiny and felt cramped. They recommended asking for a larger room, like one of the hotel's cottages.
negative:
It's a little worn down.
A few guests complained that the old building is looking a little tired in places. They mentioned things like peeling paint, loose carpet, and worn furniture.
