Archaeological Museum (Rethymnon, Greece)

The Archaeological Museum of Rethymnon opened in 1991 and is located opposite the gates to the Fortetsa. The museum contains a number of artefacts dating from 3500BC to 500BC. All of these items originate from the island of Crete and have been found on archaeological sites and in the caves. Items include, pottery, tools and items of clothing. It is open daily (except Monday) from 8.30am until 3pm. Admission charges are: Adult - 3 Euros Children - 2 Euros
