Royal Hotel (Deal, United Kingdom)

Situated right on the beach, this Georgian hotel looks out to sea and with some rooms located on the front of the property, you could be in for some spectacular sea views. Guests enjoyed being able to walk along the beach and the pier directly from the hotel.

This 18th century building has an elegant maritime theme throughout and is inspired by its famous guests, Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton. The period detailing and well retained features will make you feel right at home.

With a choice of cooked options at breakfast, this hotel’s great cooking will set you up for a day of exploration in the Garden of England. Some guests commented that it was particularly enjoyable to eat breakfast on their room balconies.

This historic hotel is located on the beach front but does not benefit from any private parking. Some guests commented that the hotel would benefit from some on-site private parking so that guests don’t have to remember to top up at the pay and display machine.

Some guests remarked that the hotel’s attractive fixtures and features could do with some care and attention to bring them back to the former glory. Although the overall style was appreciated, some visitors felt that a re-paint would be a great investment.

The vast majority of guests who stay at the Royal in Deal get a great night’s sleep. However, some commented that their rooms were a little noisy, whether that was from outside the hotel or from the characterful creeks of the old building.
