Hazelhead Park extends over an area of approximately 73 ha and includes a golf course, putting green and a maze which dates from 1935. Designed by Sir Henry Alexander, it is the first maze in Scotland and is 135ft by 100ft in size. The park also includes the Piper Alpha Memorial Garden and the Queen Mother Rose Garden, as well as a play area for children. The Pets Corner is open from 09h00 to 17h30 daily and offers farm animals and an aquarium. Art and statues by local sculptors are displayed in the park and facilities include a restaurant which opens daily at 10h00 in season. Parking is provided and Hazelhead Park is also serviced by bus. Opening hours are from 08h00 daily with closure an hour before dusk.
