The recently refurbished rooms are quite large which give it a more homely feel and the majority of rooms also come equipped with a bathtub. Family rooms are especially roomy and have an added bonus in that they include a Jacuzzi.
A recurring complaint of previous guests at The Victoria is their unusually loud toilets. The sound after flushing has been compared to, amongst other things, an aeroplane engine and a vacuum cleaner.
The heating at the hotel has been known to malfunction on occasion which may make for an uncomfortable evening during the winter. However, staff do provide electric radiators and extra duvets in these instances.
Due to the popularity of the hotel it is well occupied throughout the week and it seems cleaners do not get to every nook and cranny in between guests as some have commented on limescale, dust and stains in their rooms.
