Hotel Pencubitt House (Liskeard, United Kingdom)

The hotel is nestled in the picturesque Cornish countryside and surrounded by its own private gardens which provide a very peaceful and picturesque backdrop. Guests were pleased to find that they were only a short stroll away from the station where they could catch trains to all the nearby attractions.

Guests were pleased to find that their rooms were of generous size with large windows and some featuring private balconies. The decor was described as stylish with elegant pieces of furniture and quality upholstery. Bathrooms were also said to be spacious with up-to-date fixtures and fittings.

The freshly prepared breakfasts were said to be very tasty and filling made from high quality ingredients. Guests appreciated the wide range of options on the menu as well as the numerous cold items including pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurts. If you like to start your day with a hearty meal then you certainly won't be disappointed.

There is no lift on the premises and those guests whose rooms were located on the upper floors of the building said that they found it quite a struggle to carry their cases to their rooms and also found it tiring climbing the stairs to their rooms several times a day.

Some of the guests were disappointed to find that they couldn't walk but had to drive to the nearest restaurants and shops as the hotel is quite a way away from the local amenities.

The restaurant is only open during the peak season and guests who want to have their evening meal there are required to book 24 hours in advance which some found quite cumbersome.
