For those not self catering, the West End is home to many cafes, restaurants and bars. The agents will be happy to offer personal recommendations if asked.
The West end, with its dining, bars and nightclubs is just minutes’ away. Glasgow Central Station is just 1.3 miles fro Dreamhouse West End.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific location just outside the centre
The location of the apartments is described as just on the outskirts of the West End. To many guests this was ideal, since they got all the benefits of being within walking distance of the sights, dining and nightlife, but each night could return to their relatively tranquil apartment block.
positive:
Lovely high ceilings
While guests seemed to like the layout and décor of the apartment in general, it was the high ceilings that seemed to most impress them. It made them feel as if they were in a grand apartment.
positive:
Very well-equipped
Though some guests seemed to have trouble figuring out how to use some of the appliances, they did also mention that having them there in the first place was a major boon. The washer/dryer and dishwasher were mentioned as two items that were often missing from other apartments rentals.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Sundry maintenance issues
From guest comments it seems that there may be a bit of a problem with poor maintenance. Guests describe odd things here and there that require fixing, but remain unfixed. To these guests, it didn't give them a good impression that the little things weren't being taken care of.
negative:
Uncomfortable beds
While complaints about hotel beds are not at all unusual, since it is extremely difficult to satisfy all tastes, there were a bit too many complaints in this case to ignore. The usual complaint was that the beds were much too hard.
negative:
Some problems at check-in
Unfortunately, like in many cases where there is no permanent on-site staff, the pre-arranged check-in procedure did not always go so smoothly. There were reports of miscommunication, resulting in a delay in handing over of the keys and general frustration all round.
