The St Enoch shopping centre is located in the city centre of Glasgow just off Argyll Street. When the St Enoch hotel was demolished in 1974 the land was used for parking until 1985 when work started to create the centre which was opened in 1989. The centre boasts Europe’s largest glass structure which houses over 75 retail outlets, restaurants, a massive food court and has parking spaces for over 750 cars. It is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm but is open late on a Thursday until 9pm. Sunday opening hours are 11am until 5.30pm. Facilities available within the centre include toilets, a baby change area, information desk and cash points. Free wristbands are available for children onto which the parents can write their mobile number in case the child get lost.
