Sauchiehall Street is a one and a half mile street in Glasgow CIty Centre known for its shopping facilities. Together with Argyle Street and Buchanan Street it forms a shopping district in Glasgow known as the “Golden Z”. The street is home to many well known attractions and retailers, one of the more well known ones being the Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed Miss Cranston’s Willow Tearooms. Stores on the street include Boots the Chemist, the British Heart Foundation, T K Maxx and HMV, and fast food outlets McDonalds, Burger King, Greggs and Subway. Much of the street is now pedestrianised but buses pass regularly and it is easily accessed from Glasgow Central rail station. Car parking facilities are available nearby.
