Oddicombe Beach is one of many beaches in and around Torquay. It lies on the north side of the headland which forms the eastern arm of Tor Bay. The beach is a mixture of sand and shingle with steep cliffs behind, these cliffs are a distinctive red colour caused by an igneous intrusion. The beach has a Blue Flag accreditation for cleanliness. It is accessible down the cliff by a steep path or by the funicular railway. Car parking is nearby and there is a bus service from Torquay. Boats, beach huts and deckchairs can all be hired. A café and toilets operate during the summer months and there is a dog ban during the same period. The beach is supervised and there is a warning flag system.
