The staff at the Forestdale Norfolk Arms are genuinely helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff or manager. The bar and restaurant staff are also genuinely accommodating and do their best to serve well.
The breakfast provided in the morning is good and features a varied selection of breakfast choices. The restaurant on-site serves delicious main courses and tasty deserts. The food is prepared and cooked to a very high standard as well.

The showers are somewhat temperamental and the water temperature is difficult to balance, being either too hot or too cold. As the building itself is very old the plumbing is quite noisy and can be disturbing when used.
The building does not have a lift which is problematic for guests who have lots of luggage. Guests who do not want to walk several flights of stairs to their rooms would do well to ask for a room closer to the ground floor.
