Review summary

Summarized by AI from 100+ reviews

The most striking aspect of guest experiences is the hotel's unexpected and prolonged closure to the general public, having been repurposed for other uses. This has led to widespread frustration among travelers who booked stays, often months in advance, only to arrive and discover their reservations were no longer valid. Many guests reported receiving no prior notification from the hotel or booking platforms, leaving them stranded and forced to seek alternative accommodation, sometimes at significantly higher last-minute costs, especially during peak periods or bank holidays. Despite this major operational change, some guests who managed to interact with staff on arrival, such as security personnel or managers, often found them to be polite and helpful in directing them to new options. This situation makes the hotel currently unsuitable for leisure travelers or event attendees planning a stay, as it is not accepting public bookings. A crucial tip for anyone considering this property is to verify its operational status directly before making any arrangements, as booking sites have reportedly continued to list it as available, causing considerable inconvenience and financial strain for unsuspecting visitors.
