The Vatican Museums consist in various pontifical museums and galleries which include the Gregorian Egyptian Museum, Gregorian Etruscan Museum, the Pinacoteca art gallery and Vatican Palaces, of which the Sistine Chapel forms an integral part. Opening times vary, but normally it is only closed on Sundays, except the last Sunday of the month. Admission tickets are valid for five consecutive days from the date of purchase and the dress code requires “proper attire”. There are facilities for disabled guests and a number of guided tours, mostly of 2 hours duration, are available. Access via bus, tram or underground train is available. A museum store, post office and restaurant are available onsite.
