Oxford University Museum of Natural History (Oxford, United Kingdom)

The Oxford University Museum of Natural History is located in the midst of the University’s science departments just off South Parks Road. The museum contains the geology, zoology and entomology collections of the university, all housed in a historically significant building in high-Gothic style with vaulted ceilings and with a wide variety of decorative building stones used in its construction. The museum includes such delights as dinosaur skeletons, plenty of bugs and even a dodo. There is no public parking at the museum although disabled parking can be pre-arranged and the museum is fully wheelchair-accessible. The museum is open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm and entrance is free. In 2005 it received a Guardian Family Friendly Museum award.
