Eilean Donan Castle (Kyle of Lochalsh, United Kingdom)

Eilean Donan Castle is located on the Island of Donan, which is linked to the mainland by a footbridge. The castle dates from 1220 and underwent extensive renovations in the period 1912 to 1932. With views that stretch to the Isle of Skye and the Five Sisters of Kintail, it is a popular location for weddings and film shoots. Guided tours are available and there is also a coffee shop and gift shop on the premises. Opening hours are 10.00 until 17.30 during April to October.
