Derby Gaol (Derby, United Kingdom)

The old Derby Gaol is now a museum focusing on both the building’s history as a prison, and on the wider field of paranormal phenomena. It is owned by historian Richard Fox who is a paranormal investigator. The museum has received signficant attention through being featured on a TV show called ‘Most Haunted’. During the school term times, the museum is open only on Saturdays between 11 am and 6 pm but opening days during the school holidays are Saturdays, Sundays Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fees and opening hours vary by day and are higher if the tours are led by Richar Fox with lower prices if the tour leader is another member of his team. Overnight ‘vigils’ are also offered as are paranormal themed events.
