Not far from Swansea and the village of Mumbles is Caswell Bay, a Blue Flag beach. It is a sandy beach with cliffs behind, where there are coastal paths to Pwll Ddu Bay in one direction or Limeslade and Langland in the other. It is possible to surf, swim or go kayaking at Caswell Bay. Bishop’s Wood Local Nature Reserve and Countryside Centre is not far from the beach. There is a lifeguard service at the beach as well as a shop, café, first aid point, toilets and lost child centre. Dogs are allowed at Caswell Bay Beach outside of the bathing season. The car park nearby has 5 spaces for disabled drivers. The nearest railway station is Swansea, about 5 miles away.
