Acropolis (Athens, Greece)

The Acropolis is the most important site in Athens, dating from the Neolithic period and displaying architecture from the Classical period (450-330 B.C.) As it contains four masterpieces of classical Greek origin and reflects more than 1000 years of cultural heritage, the Acropolis was declared a world Heritage Site in 1987.
