Guests are in agreement: the rooms at this inn and gastropub are clean. While it may be in an older Georgian building, they say not to let this fool you, as the guest rooms are promptly cleaned before guest arrival.

Aside from doing a good job of keeping the rooms clean, the guests here report that the staff in general are splendid. They seem to care about all that stay at the inn, and respond promptly to requests.

Guests to The Queens are big fans of the morning breakfast on offer. There is a complimentary Hot Cornish breakfast that routinely receives rave reviews from guests. Additionally, guests say they appreciate the dedication to using locally-sourced product whenever possible. Also of note are the homemade bread and ice cream the inn provides.

Some guests suggest that there is a noise factor to this inn that is highly unpleasant. It seems the walls are thin and/or that insulation is lacking, because guests say noise from the pub area and from outside the walls of the inn infiltrate the guest rooms too easily.

Guests note that the hallways and stairs within The Queens are too dark for their tastes. While the older Georgian building may be charming from the outside, this appears to be one downside to its age.

Guests also note that it's unfortunate that the parking is not on-site. Instead, one must go off-site to park their vehicle, and some of the guests feel the off-site car park is too great a distance away.
