Seapoint Beach (Dún Laoghaire, Ireland)

A mixture of sand and rocks, Seapoint Beach is about 5 miles from Dublin and has a Blue Flag award. Swimming is possible to the south, but it is necessary to look out for the rocks which can be covered at high tide. To the north, water sports such as jet skiing, surfing and canoeing can be practised. There is a parking at Seapoint as well as disabled facilities, and a lifeguard is present in summer. Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 10.30am and 7pm from the beginning of June until the end of September. Seapoint has a DART train station about half a mile from the beach, and there are bus services from Dublin. Nearby Dun Laoghaire offers accommodation and restaurants.
