Parque Gulliver (Valencia, Spain)

The Gulliver Park is situated in the former riverbed of the River Turia, which was diverted outside the city during the 1960’s and modified into leisure grounds since, between the Monteolivete and the Grao in the Jardins Del Turia part of Valencia. The park consists of a gigantic wooden statue of Gulliver, who is a character out of Jonathan Swifts books. The main attraction inside the body’s statue is a reduced model of the town of Valencia. Several slides of all sizes run along the outside of the statue, skate ramps and stairs or even a mini golf compose the attraction park. The carved wooden giant was designed by the artists of the famous Fallas carnival statues, which are burnt each year during the festivities. The nearest metro to here is either Turia or Alameda.
