English Gardens (Munich, Germany)

Developed in 1789 to the order of Prince Carl Theodor, a hunting ground at the Isar was converted to public gardens and eventually moved to Munich in 1804 where it developed into the Englischer Garten. The garden is open to the public daily, has no limitations on disabled access, levies no entrance fees and offers a number of eateries as well as halls for exhibitions and other events.
