Dubai Marina, sometimes known as New Dubai, is a district of Dubai city. Its waterside Marina Walk overlooking the Persian Gulf; the luxurious houses, and top end retail therapy at Marina Mall all serve to emphasise a feeling of true affluence. Reputedly, Dubai is the world’s largest man-made marina and it seems highly likely that some of the palatial watercraft moored here might well be owned by the well-heeled residents. The Weather at Dubai Marina is Cloudless, but Look out for Snow and Rain
The November to April period is considered to be the best time to visit. The winter temperatures are similar to the summer ones experienced in northern Europe but, it’s worth noting that February is the wettest month. There are always plenty of things to do. One event is completely weather resistant and that is the December Dubai Shopping Festival when local shops offer massive discounts on items including jewellery.
Be advised that the summer months can be hot; very hot and maybe uncomfortably so for some visitors. You’ll be surprised, then, to find snow in Dubai at all times, but this is only at Mall of the Emirates where they’ve invested in a snow machine, so that you can enjoy snow-related fun. Keep an eye open too for the occasional outdoor shower. UAE has been cloud seeding and has succeeded in creating rain storms. Whoopee!
There’s no Canoe but, at Dubai Mall, They’ll Paddle you Across the Creek
Try joining Dubai Marina’s residents as they enjoy their hugely popular dinner cruises with fine views and cuisine. In complete contrast and a few miles away, but well worth the trip, attractions include the heritage site of Al Shindagha and a glimpse into the Bedouin lifestyle. The metro journey from Dubai Mall is easy and convenient. Just get off at Al Ghubaiba for a momentous step back in time.
Similarly; forget about taxis, buses, and traffic congestion; try a trip across Dubai Creek on a traditional, wooden, abra. It’s much cheaper and far more enjoyable. At the end of all this, you probably fancy a drink and, as a tourist, you can do just that in the resort’s hotels, clubs and restaurants.

Dubai Marina is reckoned to be the finest hotel area in the city. The problem is, of course, choosing the right one that also fits in with your budget.
