About Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel

The Marriott Victoria & Albert hotel is a 4 star hotel located on the edge of the River Irwell in Manchester, opposite the Granada television studios. It is within a short walking distance of the Palace Theatre and Opera House and close to most of the other city centre attractions. The hotel reopened in 2005 following a renovation cost of £5.2 million. It is housed within an old Victorian warehouse that dates from 1844. This renovation has preserved some of the original historic charm of the building but created modern, stylish rooms with the latest technology. There are 148 rooms each of which are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a room safe, minibar, a separate seating area, telephone and trouser press. All rooms also have en suite bathrooms, high speed internet access and writing desks with lamps. The Marriott Victoria & Albert has a 24 hour reception and can arrange room service. Facilities include a restaurant, bar, business centre, sauna, gym, solarium, spa & wellness centre offering treatments and massage and an indoor swimming pool.
