The hotel's most striking feature is its unparalleled views of St Michael's Mount and the surrounding bay, providing a breathtaking backdrop for guests throughout their stay. This picturesque setting makes it an ideal destination for couples seeking a romantic escape, sightseers eager to explore the iconic landmark, and families looking for a memorable coastal experience. The hotel is also exceptionally dog-friendly, offering dedicated amenities and welcoming furry companions in many areas, making it a perfect choice for pet owners. Guests consistently highlight the hotel's warm hospitality, the overall cleanliness, and the quality of its dining options, contributing to a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. To fully immerse yourself in the stunning scenery, consider booking a room with a direct view of St Michael's Mount, and be sure to take advantage of the hotel's thoughtful provisions for beach visits, such as sand bags and blankets, enhancing your coastal exploration.

Facilities & Amenities
The hotel offers a range of facilities designed to enhance guest comfort and convenience. A significant highlight for many is the convenient parking available adjacent to the hotel, with some guests benefiting from complimentary reserved spaces. The hotel is notably dog-friendly, providing thoughtful amenities such as dog beds, bowls, treats, and blankets, ensuring pets feel as welcome as their owners. Rooms are equipped with modern conveniences including a coffee machine, complimentary water, and a mini-bar stocked with local treats. Guests appreciate the elegant and stylish decor throughout the property, which maintains a classic charm within its historic building. Thoughtful touches like sand bags, blankets, and umbrellas are also provided for guests to enjoy the nearby beach. While some guests noted weak Wi-Fi or issues with the wheelchair lift, the overall impression of amenities is positive.

Cleanliness & Room Comfort
Guests frequently commend the hotel for its impeccable cleanliness, describing rooms and bathrooms as spotless and well-maintained. The comfortable beds with luxurious bedding are consistently praised, ensuring a restful night's sleep for most visitors. Many rooms are noted for their spaciousness and offer stunning sea views, enhancing the overall ambiance. The large bathrooms often feature modern fixtures like drench showers or rainfall shower heads and are stocked with gorgeous bathroom products. While the majority of guests report a quiet and relaxing environment, some have experienced noise issues from adjacent rooms, street traffic, or even rattling windows. A few isolated comments mentioned minor maintenance concerns such as a leaking shower hose or discolored grouting, and one guest reported an uncomfortable living area in a suite. Despite these occasional remarks, the prevailing sentiment is one of high comfort and pristine conditions.

Dining & Food Quality
The hotel's dining experience receives varied but often positive feedback, with many guests praising the breakfast as exceptional, offering a wide and delicious selection including fresh juices, perfectly cooked eggs, and a hearty full Cornish option. The restaurant itself is frequently highlighted for its stunning views and pleasant atmosphere, making meals a memorable experience. Dinner options, such as mussels, vegetarian curry, and roast beef, are often described as outstanding, fresh, and locally sourced. However, some guests have expressed significant disappointment with the food quality, citing issues like overcooked items, bland flavors, or dishes not meeting expectations, particularly with certain main courses. There were also comments about slow service during peak dining times and occasional issues with dish availability. Despite these inconsistencies, the cream tea and various bar offerings generally receive high marks for quality and taste.

Location & Accessibility
The hotel boasts an exceptional location, directly opposite the iconic St Michael's Mount and offering unparalleled views of the bay. This prime position allows for easy access to local attractions and the beach, making it ideal for those wishing to explore the area on foot. Guests appreciate the convenience of being able to walk directly to the Mount or enjoy coastal strolls. The hotel also provides convenient parking facilities, which is a significant advantage in the area, though some guests noted an additional charge if booked through third-party sites. Public transport is also readily available, with a bus stop located nearby, offering further accessibility to surrounding towns and sights. While the central location is a major draw, a few rooms facing the street have experienced traffic noise, which can occasionally impact the peaceful atmosphere.

Staff & Service
The hotel staff generally receive high praise for their friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism, with many guests highlighting their warm welcome and attentive approach. The check-in process is often described as smooth and efficient, and staff are commended for accommodating various requests, including early check-ins and specific seating preferences. The dog-friendly service is a standout feature, with staff going above and beyond to ensure pets are comfortable and well-cared for. However, feedback regarding service quality is mixed; while many experienced excellent interactions, some guests reported issues with slow service, particularly in the dining areas, and a few encountered junior staff who were perceived as unorganized, inattentive, or even rude. Despite these isolated concerns, the overall dedication of the team to guest satisfaction is frequently acknowledged.

Additional Information
A notable aspect of the hotel is its highly dog-friendly policy, extending beyond just rooms to include many public areas, with specific amenities provided for canine companions. Guests should be aware that a service charge is automatically added to bills, which some found unexpected as it was not always clearly stated beforehand. There have also been observations regarding the increased cost of coffee since the hotel's recent change in ownership, impacting local visitors in particular. The hotel is housed within a typical English house of the 800s, featuring unique architectural elements like a spiral staircase, contributing to its classic charm. Thoughtful, unique amenities such as sand bags and umbrellas are available for guests to use during their visits to the nearby beach, enhancing their outdoor experience.
