Positive Reviews

Convenient location

Most guests say that since The B Akasaka in Tokyo, Japan, is located in a business district, it is convenient for them to commute to main areas of the city. The Tokyo Broadcasting System and the Akasaka subway stop on the Chyioba line are not too far away. Many restaurants are an easy walk from the hotel.

Comfortable beds; good rooms

Guests say that they find the beds in the rooms super comfortable with shady blinds. The rooms are compact but well equipped with desk, fridge, torch, toiletries and an enlarging mirror. The shower is really fancy.

Good facilities

The hotel staff is very helpful. Guests appreciate the free coffee served in the reception lobby and say it is a treat. They also find the facilities of the coin-operated laundry handy. Guests say that the breakfast is modest but sufficient, and all in all, the hotel is a good bargain.

Negative Reviews

Small rooms

Many guests say that the rooms of the hotel are the smallest they have ever seen with no room for closets too. They are a tight fit for even two people. The bathrooms are only a frosted glass wall separating them from the rooms.

No air conditioning during some months

Some guests say that they find it odd and irritating that the hotel shuts off air conditioning in some months like November as the management feels that it is not needed. This makes the rooms hot and muggy. Opening windows mean leaving the blinds open and getting woken up by blinding sunlight.

Uphill hotel; boring breakfast; language issues

The hotel is on an uphill and guests find it difficult to climb up. The breakfast is repetitive and many guests say it gets boring. Guests say they find it difficult to manage with the staff if they do not know Japanese.
