Location is pretty convenient
Most guests really liked this hotel's location, mostly because it is surrounded by some really great restaurants, shops, bars and entertainment venues. Having Higashi-Shinjuku metro station and the mammoth Shinjuku mainline train station so close by was deemed a major plus point too.

It has to be said that by modern Japanese standards, the accommodations here are actually pretty spacious. Indeed, a significant number of guests have been pleasantly surprised by the amount of square footage they got for their Yen here.

You get loads of freebies!
Very few guests have been disappointed by the amount of complimentary items they found in their accomodations upon arrival. In addition to a traditional-style yukata bathrobe and slippers, each guest room comes with an assortment of towels, a razor, a shoehorn, a shower cap and a selection of high quality Shiseido toiletry products.

Lower floor rooms can suffer with noise
A number of displeased guests have noted that quality sleep can sometimes be hard to come by in the lower-floor rooms as the streets around the hotel can be pretty noisy during the early hours. Ear plugs were recommended for light sleepers.

In-room Wi-Fi is not very good at all
It's fair to say a great many visitors were not satisfied with the free Wi-Fi provision at this hotel. Indeed, some guests revealed that they couldn't get any wireless Internet signal at all in their room for the entire duration of their stay.

Hotel interiors smell smoky throughout
Numerous guests highlighted the rather unpleasant fact that there weren't many places where you couldn't smell tobacco smoke in the hotel. Unfortunately, this included many of the accommodations.
