Hotel Royal Sun (Chania, Greece)

The views from tthis hotel are magnificent. You can see the mountains from some guest rooms whilst others offer incredible views of the Cretan Sea and Chania Town. You can take in these views from the balcony adjoining the guest rooms or from the sun terrace and pool area.

The hotel is situated just a short drive from the main city centre and so the surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, yiu can relax and take in the incredible views with little disruption.  The hotel offers a free shuttle service which can collect and drop you off anywhere you would like to go.

The staff at this hotel are fantastic, they are very friendly and hard-working and they make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. They organise the shuttles and other services very professionally and efficiently. The restaurant and bar staaf are attentive and friendly.

The walls between adjoining rooms are very thin and not soundproofed at all. It can be difficult to sleep if the guests in the neighbouring rooms are talking or moving around. Guest rooms closer to the public areas are also affected by the noises of people o the music being played.

Some guests have reported that the shower stalls in their private bathrooms were quite small meaning that if you moved around the shower curtain would get stuck to you. The shower curtain also does not do a good job at keeping the water in the shower.

The air-conditioning units in the guest rooms are quite noisy which makes can make falling asleep quite difficult. Some guests have also reported that some of the air-conditioning units spread a bad o dour throughout the rooms when used. The in-room refrigerators are also noisy and disruptive whilst you are trying to sleep.
