Review summary

Summarized by AI from 300+ reviews

The hotel's stunning grounds and historic buildings are its most memorable feature, offering a picturesque and tranquil escape that many guests find idyllic. While the exterior and gardens consistently receive high praise for their beauty and peaceful atmosphere, guest experiences with the interior and service are notably mixed. Many guests appreciate the hotel's charm and character, finding it a suitable setting for couples seeking a quiet retreat, families attending events like weddings, and business travelers needing a convenient base. Dog owners also find the hotel accommodating, with specific amenities provided for their pets. However, a recurring theme highlights that the hotel's interior often feels dated and in need of significant updates. To enhance your stay, it is advisable to manage expectations regarding modern amenities and be prepared for potential inconsistencies in service, particularly during busy periods, as staffing levels can impact the overall experience.
