The Mitre Inn

The Mitre Inn is situated in the small village of Sandford Orcas, just three and a half miles north of Sherborne, tucked in the rolling hills of Dorset countryside. The pub was originally built in 1851 as a cider house but now as a freehouse , we sell beer and cider from local breweries such as Apex Brewery and yeovil Ales. The present owners have run the pub since 1992 and having purchased the pub in 2014 have completed extensive refurbishment, whilst still keeping the charm of the building. The owners Allen and Cheryl Page have now established two high standard letting rooms,1 Twin/King &1 Kingsize boasting en-suite shower rooms. The rooms have received high reviews over the past 2 years since being opened. Guests can use the pub car park throughout the duration of their stay free of charge. Check in times are between 12-3pm We serve traditional English breakfast as well as fruit, cereal and yogurt
