Matogianni Hotel (Mykonos-Town, Greece)

Guests were unanimous in saying that this is not the hotel for those seeking peace and quiet. But it is the hotel for those seeking Mykonos' best bars and nightlife. Matogianni Street, right outside, is the main entertainment street, and guests were not more than a short walk for all the best nightlife in town.

While there were one or two contrary views, most guests felt that the rooms were very clean on arrival, and kept very clean during their stay. The public areas received more mixed reviews, with it obviously being impossible to keep a very popular bar, and surrounding areas perfectly clean during the course of a long night of partying.

It was said that guests don't even need to go to the coast to see the sunset, since they could get a great view of it right from one of the patios.

This should perhaps come as no surprise, but several guest pointed out that the hotel is very noisy. Matogianni Street is the town's main entertainment street, and the hotel itself has one of its trendiest bars downstairs. So there will inevitably be much noise a revelry till the early hours, at least.

Some guests mentioned that, while looking very good, the trendy bathroom design results in showers that cause the whole bathroom floor to be flooded when one takes a shower.

A few guests mentioned that smoking was allowed in the White Bar downstairs, which was a shame since they would have liked to spend some time there, but opted for other smoke free bars off-site instead.
