University Inn Academic Suites

The University Inn Academic Suites is a 50 year old, family run Inn overlooking the Stillwater River in the charming town of Orono. We are the only lodging property within walking distance to the University of Maine and the quaint Orono Village. The Village offers 11 restaurants with a variety of cuisine’s. Our guests enjoy newly remodeled, spacious rooms with free wi-fi, fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, hi-definition flat screen TVs with premium channels, full hot breakfast, private balconies with many of them overlooking the river, fitness center, seasonal outdoor heated pool with bar service and best of all, second to none, Maine hospitality. Our motto is, “Welcome, may all who enter as guests, leave as friends”. During summer months, the public is welcome to join us at “Sip & Dip” for a nominal fee. Our pool is heated to the perfect body temperature at 80 degrees and guests can enjoy a very cold drink at our tiki bar. This is the place to be in the summer time and space is limited.
