The Wooden House

The Wooden House B&B is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Kilmore Quay. In total there are 11 double bedrooms (some can be altered into twin rooms), a bar and restaurant. The traditional Irish bar and restaurant serves fabulous food throughout the year and music is played on a regular basis. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated and has an en-suite, tea & coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. If you have a particular request it will not be a problem. The closest beach is just across the road with some bedrooms enjoying beautiful sea views. There are many beaches in the area with some a few minutes' walk and others a short drive away. As The Wooden House is centrally located you will be close to all bars, restaurants, shops and activities. Kilmore Quay is a picturesque village located in the south east of Ireland. It is a famous fishing village with trawlers landing their catches daily. The village is also famous for the beautiful thatched houses that are located throughout the village. The Saltee Islands are a short boat ride off the Kilmore Quay coast and this is one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Europe. Along with the different breeds of birds, the Saltee Islands are a place of immense beauty and always worth a trip when in Kilmore Quay. There is also an abundance of scenery, activities and places to visit within a short drive of Kilmore Quay as County Wexford has a huge amount to offer.
