Hotel Sixty LES (New York, USA)

The Thompson Lower East Side (or Thompson LES) is a New York design hotel which offers a blend of luxury and industrial design. It was created in a collaboration between a leading architect and a leading designer and styles itself as offering 'haute minimalism'. Interesting features include a small outdoor pool and a lounge decorated with Andy Warhol filmstrips. There's a members only lounge with views of the Manhattan skyline and an in-house Chinese restaurant complete with celebrity chef. Rooms are ultra-modern and feature high threadcount cotton sheets, floor to ceiling windows, lightbox headboards and mirrored wardrobes and slate showers. Rooms have flat screen televisions and in room movie libraries. Big cosy bathrobes are supplied along with luxury toiletries. The SHANG restaurant and bar offer stylish dining and refreshments with a large wine list and freshly made cocktails.
