About La Morada Mas Hermosa

In 1798 La Morada Mas Hermosa was built by a shipping merchant, in what is still referred to as Marbella’s “Barrio Alto” (upper neighbourhood) - the tower of which (converted into room 5) provided him with strategic views over the bay. It continued to serve as a home in Marbella for various local families over the centuries until 2000, when the current owners fell in love with the house as a family and decided to convert it into the “home-from-home” boutique hotel they had always dreamed of running. After undergoing extensive renovations, while respecting the original architectural structure and surrounding Old Town setting, the 2-star La Morada Mas Hermosa opened its doors as a boutique hotel in 2003, where every visitor is considered a welcome guest in this extended family home. The family-run hotel was named “La Morada Mas Hermosa” (the most beautiful home) to reflect the belief that a hotel should provide a truly nurturing and relaxing “home-from-home” experience to its guests rather than just a bed for the night.
