About Great Southern Killarney

Great Southern Killarney’s distinctive Victorian architecture, six acres of private gardens and 4-star luxury in the middle of Killarney has made it a traveller favourite for over 160 years. It originally opened in 1854 as The Railway Hotel, is adjacent to Killarney Railway Station, and within a 20-minute walk of St. Mary’s Cathedral and Fitzgerald Stadium. All rooms are individually furnished in traditional or contemporary styles, and feature power showers and hairdryers, free Wi-Fi, multi-channel TVs, complimentary bottled water and tea/coffee facilities. Laundry/dry-cleaning services is available, as is conference space for up to 950 delegates, and the hotel has a health and beauty centre. The Garden Room Restaurant hosts breakfasts and dinners, two other restaurants can be booked, and Great Southern Killarney has an in-house bakery, bar, and wine cellar restaurant. Guests are an eight-minute drive from Ross Castle, on the edge of Lough Leane and the Killarney National Park.
