Review summary

Summarized by AI from 800+ reviews

A vintage-inspired retreat for culture-seeking university visitors.

This property serves as a charming base for sightseers and academics alike, defined by its nostalgic, character-filled atmosphere. The hotel sits alongside the Yale University campus, while its complimentary bicycles provide a unique way to navigate the local area. Guests frequently praise the exceptionally comfortable beds, and those seeking a quieter experience should request a room away from the basement-level bar. While the property offers a distinct aesthetic, the inconsistent service standards and lack of on-site fitness facilities are notable trade-offs for travelers prioritizing location over a full suite of amenities.

Some guests mentioned: inconsistent service, compact rooms, noise levels.
