This hotel is celebrated for its stunning location and breathtaking sea views, offering guests direct access to a beautiful, clear sea. Its unique setting, nestled into the landscape, provides a tranquil and picturesque escape, making it particularly appealing to couples and friends seeking a peaceful retreat. The hotel's signature feature is its exceptional private beach area, which many describe as akin to swimming in an aquarium. While some guests find the value for money excellent, others note that the hotel's charm is more rustic than luxurious. To make the most of your stay, be prepared for numerous stairs leading to the beach and dining areas, and consider bringing your own snorkeling gear to explore the vibrant underwater life.
Facilities & Amenities
The hotel offers a serene environment with two pools, including an infinity pool, providing alternative spots for relaxation, though some guests noted they were small or not consistently clean. The highlight for many is the private beach and deck area, equipped with ample sunbeds and umbrellas, offering direct access to the remarkably clear and calm sea. However, guests frequently report issues with in-room amenities; Wi-Fi connectivity is often weak or unreliable, especially in rooms further from the reception. Many rooms lack a kettle or coffee maker, and the mini-fridges are sometimes found to be empty, non-functional, or leaking. Air conditioning performance varies, with some units reported to have mold or be ineffective. Parking is a significant challenge, described as very limited, steep, and difficult to navigate, with some guests experiencing vehicle damage.
Cleanliness & Room Comfort
Guest feedback on room comfort and cleanliness is notably mixed, with a significant number of reviews highlighting concerns. Many guests describe the rooms as small, old, tired, and in need of renovation, often noting musty odors, mold, peeling paint, or dilapidated conditions. Bathrooms are frequently criticized for being tiny, dirty, having mold or mildew, broken fixtures like shower heads, and unclean grout. The beds are often described as uncomfortable or hard, and linens are sometimes reported as stained or old. A recurring issue is the presence of mosquitoes, ants, or other bugs within the rooms. While some guests found their rooms clean and comfortable, many experienced inconsistent housekeeping, with rooms not cleaned daily or basic toiletries and water not replenished.
Dining & Food Quality
The hotel's dining experience receives varied feedback. Most guests appreciate the breakfast, describing it as sufficient and offering a good start to the day, though some found the variety limited or repetitive. A consistent highlight is the freshly baked pides and bread, prepared in a stone oven, which are widely praised for their deliciousness. Beyond breakfast, the overall food quality is mixed; some guests found meals tasty and satisfying, while others described them as mediocre or disappointing, noting limited dinner options and occasional unavailability of menu items. Concerns were raised by some regarding hygiene in the dining areas, including reports of dirty glasses and staff handling food without gloves. Additionally, guests often noted that water was not provided for free, and some experienced issues with the quality of drinking water.
Location & Accessibility
The hotel's location is overwhelmingly praised as its strongest asset, described as amazing, beautiful, and offering stunning views of the sea. Its position on the peninsula provides a tranquil setting with direct sea access and a highly valued private beach. However, accessibility within the hotel is a key consideration; guests frequently mention the numerous stairs required to reach the beach, dining areas, and various parts of the property. These stairs are often described as tiring and potentially challenging for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. While the hotel is considered close to Kaş center by some, accessible by taxi or dolmuş, others found it somewhat distant. Parking remains a significant drawback, with very limited space, a steep approach, and reports of difficulty finding a spot or even vehicle damage.
Staff & Service
Feedback regarding the hotel's staff and service is quite polarized. Many guests commend the staff for being friendly, helpful, attentive, and welcoming, highlighting their efforts to assist with requests and ensure a pleasant stay. Specific mentions include quick check-in processes and a general willingness to resolve issues. However, a substantial number of reviews describe the staff as uninterested, unresponsive, insufficient in number, or lacking proficiency in English, leading to communication difficulties. Some guests reported slow service at the bar and restaurant, or observed staff being distracted. Concerns were also raised about the overall professionalism and responsiveness of the management, with some guests feeling their complaints were not adequately addressed. The inconsistency in service quality appears to be a recurring theme.
Additional Information
Guests should be aware that the hotel is in need of renovation, with many areas showing signs of age and wear, a point acknowledged by both guests and management. The property offers a pet-friendly policy, which is a bonus for those traveling with animals. While the hotel aims for a rustic charm, some areas are perceived as dilapidated. There is often music or a DJ at the beach area, contributing to the atmosphere. Guests should note that rooms typically do not have a phone to contact reception, and free water or basic toiletries are often not provided. Some rooms may lack a functional safe or adequate lighting in the bathroom. The hotel's unique design, built into the cliffs, means that stairs are an inherent part of the experience.
