Hotel Calypso (Marsalforn, Malta)

With the glittering beach, bay, shopping and eating opportunities all steps away, the hotel has an ideal location for enjoying Gozo. Bikes can be rented at the hotel, and many water and boating activities are available.

Many guests have commented on the excellent hot and cold buffet breakfast options on offer at Hotel Calypso.

Tranquil rooms are decorated simply in blue and cream. While not always offering much in the way of bedding, the wooden furniture and polished floor give the spaces a clean, breezy feel.

No coffee or tea facilities are included in the room, a small issue that many find annoying from a four star hotel. For the price, the amenities are not as many as they should be.

The parking situation is a little confusing. There is parking out front of the hotel, but it seems to fill up quickly. That means guests must slog their bags to the hotel from public parking, sometimes ten minutes away.

The hotel's rooftop pool is reported by many guests to be on the small side. But it does the job. Nonetheless, it might be due for a make-over.
