Disney's Cheyenne is located in a small village 15 minutes walk from Disneyland Park, north of the Rio Grande River. Designed by the architect Robert AM Stern, it opened in 1992, along with the Park. It is supposed to be typical of the Wild West with its 14 wooden houses, that have names like "Billy the Kid," and its main street called "Desperado Street", which is covered with sand. Shuttles regularly transport customers to the Park, while free parking is available for those with their own vehicle. 1000 rooms, each 21 square meters in size, can accommodate up to 4 people. All have a bathroom and fan. To eat, guests can enjoy the Chuck Wagon Café, with its Mexican and Wild West special dishes and cocktails from Saddle Bar or the Red Garter Saloon. The General Store shop offers souvenirs and other gadgets featuring Mickey and his friends. A playground is available for children, and there is also a video games area and a TV corner. Outside is the Fort Apache playground where Disney characters sometimes appear.
