Bratsera was a charmed word to Greek sponge divers of the lastcentury, being the mother ship where they relaxed after solitary hours on the seafloor. Modern days travellers will feel the same about the Bratsera Hotel on the island of Hydra. The sponge factory established by Verveniotis family in 1860 has been lovingly restored and turned into one of the most charming small hotels in Greece. Only 2 minutes walking distance from the port in a secluded courtyard it is open 9 months of the year.
