Review summary
Summarized by AI from 100+ reviews
The hotel's signature feature is its lakefront location with stunning views of the water and the Mackinac Bridge. This makes it primarily suitable for sightseers and those seeking a scenic backdrop for their stay, particularly travelers on a budget or who appreciate a vintage aesthetic. However, guests frequently report that the property is in a dilapidated state, with rooms often described as filthy and uncomfortable. Many reviews highlight significant issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall condition of the facilities. While some staff members are noted for their friendliness, others are perceived as unhelpful, especially regarding serious room issues or refund requests. To enhance your stay, guests are strongly advised to thoroughly inspect their assigned room upon arrival and manage expectations regarding the property's condition, as online photos may not accurately reflect the reality.
