Positive Reviews

Everything and more

The kitchen is already so well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, that guests were astounded with the lovely surprise of milk in the fridge along with eggs, muffins, butters, jams and fresh coffee. The owner was also happy to part with information on places to visit, or help with directions when it came to taking the best route when walking into town.

Impressive location

Its already an easy walk to town for guests, but the location is further improved because of the short walk to an array of shops and restaurants in the vicinity. There's also a peaceful bowling green and park right next door for those who want to connect with nature, and just a little further you'll find the castle walls of historic York. Guests said if you happen to be exhibiting at the York Racecourse, then you will be there within a few minutes too.

Super clean and cosy

This accommodation has been compared to "the best alternative to an expensive hotel". Guests could find no fault with the exceptional hygiene standards that the staff displayed, and said they felt just as comfortable as if they were in their own homes. In winter you can even warm up with right next to the indoor fireplace.
