Positive Reviews

A view to die for.

Guests were taken with the dreamy view, made that much more impressive by the hillside location. Even guests staying in street view rooms enjoyed the enchanting sunsets from the common terrace, and many guests said that the view alone was worth the price.

Immaculate rooms.

Accommodation provided great value, according to many satisfied guests. While basic, guests liked their rooms, and were especially enthusiastic about the top notch cleaning crew that left everything in perfect order.

Charming hosts.

Guests were delighted with the welcoming owners who went above and beyond. Many commented that San Antonio felt more like a home than a business, and pride of ownership really shone through for a relaxing and friendly vibe.

Negative Reviews

Hit and miss Wi-Fi.

Guests who paid extra for Wi-Fi for sometimes let down by sporadic service. Internet access was often available in common areas and some rooms, but would drop in and out, frustrating some guests.

On a hill.

While the majority of guests enjoyed the leisurely walk back to their room, some noted that it could be a deterrent for the elderly or those with mobility issues. The good news, however, is that there are plenty of spots to sit down and take a break along the way, and many guests came across great restaurants while commuting back and forth.

Absent reception.

This small hotel has limited reception hours. Staff are available to assist guests in the morning, but in the later afternoon and evening, the front desk is unattended. For the most part, this didn't pose a problem for guests because they were given a number to call should issues arise, but some would have preferred for staff to be around more.
