Positive Reviews

Wonderful hosts who want you to feel at home.

The owners successfully present the atmosphere that you are like family at Broom House. They're always ready with information and advice about the area, things to do and see, how best to travel, and whatever else they can do (like brownies left in the roo

Peaceful and beautiful location for a vacation.

The hillside inn is a lovely base set amidst the North York moors, with the river as a backdrop and the local steam engine occasionally running by. There's expansive gardens, and great opportunities for bird and other local wildlife watching. You set the

Rooms are as delightful as the rest of the place.

Rooms are comfortable and romantic, with décor that blends bold and muted tones, and luxurious textures. The baths are also nicely set up and spacious, with the entire accommodations being a place where you appreciate being away.

Negative Reviews

Poor Wi-Fi reception is still disappointing.

Even though it's not surprising that Wi-Fi reception could be spotty here, it's still something that many would rather be more reliable. Try to wait until you're off grounds if possible, if you need a steady signal.

Would be nice if more than breakfast was served.

The breakfasts, which include ingredients grown on the property, are so well liked that guests wish evening meals were also provided. You can get a packed lunch, but having a homecooked dinner would be welcomed.

A minor flaw that there is no lift available.

The guesthouse is as it is, so no lift. If stairs are challenging for you, request a lower level room.
