Positive Reviews

This is a friendly place to stay, with a landlady who has plenty of local knowledge and information if it is required. The location is very convenient for the town centre, the beach and the harbour, it is also very quiet at night. There are plenty of pubs

Clean and Warm.

Rooms were found to be clean, with plenty of wardrobe and hanging space, and warm when heating was required: guests who stayed in April were pleased to have individually controlled and efficient heating for the room. The double bed was comfortable and ens

Well Fuelled.

The breakfast was tasty and very filling, guests who were there to some “serious” coastal walking found that it fuelled them very adequately! A guest who had requested a wheat free breakfast was efficiently looked after, and given the bonus of hash browns

The sea view from the room was not very inspiring, basically glimpses between and beyond rooftops. It seemed that staff were anxious to remove plates at breakfast almost before guests had finished eating their meal.

Value.

Overall the impression is that guests get a fair deal here, without too many frills, just honest Yorkshire value.
